We realize just how difficult it can be to care for babies and young children with eczema. The DermaSilk range of infants and children's clothes has been specifically designed to be an integral part of an overall eczema treatment programme involving emollients and other topical medications.

Infants with eczema can be very difficult to dress effectively as they can be in a distressed state, continually wriggle and scratch and try to uncover themselves.

The range includes:

  • The DermaSilk range for infants comprises separate body suit and leggings designed for fast and easy changing.
  • Their stretchy design ensures a snug fit whilst allowing for growth.
  • All the garment seams are external to avoid any chafing of the skin which might delay the healing process.
  • Hands and feet are protected by DermaSilk integral mits and socks. The mits have a long cuff to allow the infant to stretch out their fingers and not feel trapped.
  • The silky feel of the fabric is not only soothing to the child but also helps control body temperature and humidity to further improve the healing process.

"Hydrapid lotion is the ONLY emollient that has taken the inflammation and heat out of my 2 year old's eczema. 

It rubs in properly leaving her skin clear enough that her clothes do not stick on her skin, no matter how many times I apply the lotion in a day. 

It provides immediate cooling to the areas of redness.  Her eczema has improved so much since the application of this cream that her dependence on mild steroid creams has been significantly reduced even when only using standard (well-fitting) tights, bodysuits & tops.

It is also really pleasing to find a cream that is not based on petroleum but on natural oils which is why I tried it on her to begin with.

As the name suggests this specially formulated and rapidly absorbed cream, cools and hydrates the skin from the inside without leaving a sticky residue on the surface. Within seconds it penetrates the skin leaving a silky surface, allowing DermaSilk garments to be worn almost immediately.

Developed specifically for infants, children and adults with uncomfortable skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis, this formulation is free of petrochemical derivatives, alcohol and perfumes. The natural ingredients work within the structure of the skin rather than on the surface, ensuring deep, lasting moisturisation.
